I am seeking the assistance of all that read this.

I work at an animal clinic and a woman brought in a dog that had been abandoned at a landfill.

She was unable to take care of the dog, because she had her own dogs to take care of. So she brought him to the clinic to be euthanized. I don't normally cling to and try to save each pet that comes through with a sad story. But something is different with this dog.

He was filthy, completely un-socialized, and terrified, yet his tail was still wagging faithfully. Emotions filled me so suddenly as I saw this poor sweet dog that has done nothing to deserve what is going to happen to him. I sat with this dog and just stroked his grimy head while talking soothingly. He looked at me with his big eyes with so much love that something seemed to break inside me. This dog hasn't seen the kindness and love that he deserves and he never will. Some ignorant idiot out there had ditched him and now the dog has to pay for it. It isn't right!

I have talked the doctor into allowing him a few more days until he is put to sleep. The main reason the doctor is reluctant to foster this dog is because the clinic already has 2 other dogs and she is afraid this one will be there for months.

According to the world this dog isn't as "place-able" because he is a black ordinary looking lab. People don't go out looking for black mutts. This just sickens me more because first of all the dog isn't given a chance and then the decision is made because he isn't attractive or different enough.

He is all black and has the biggest brown eyes. He is actually quite adorable, I think he is the cutest thing. He looks as if he is just over a year old and still has that puppy love inside of him.

I am currently obedience training and socializing him to better enable his chances of obtaining a home. I have successfully taught him to sit. This in approximately 5 minutes.

He is smart, cute, good natured, and undeniably faithful. We are already pals . But I need your help. I need to spread the word and fined this puppy a home!

Tell everyone you know, find someone, most anything is better than what his future holds now. NO pet should have to suffer because of the ignorance of human kind, but it happens every second of the day... help me to start a new life for this dog and give him his much deserved second chance. Please think about the life your changing.

If there are any questions that need to be answered don't hesitate to ask, I really hope that there are people out there that will help me, because if nothing is done, the curtain will fall on his time here. Please... this is life or death.
